About Competition


Bharat Sanskriti Utsab is a prestigious festival and talent search competition dedicated to the promotion of Indian art, culture, classical music, and folk traditions. Initiated in 2009 in Burdwan, West Bengal, the festival has grown into one of the most respected cultural platforms in the region. It is organized annually in the month of December by the Hindusthan Art & Music Society. The competition is evaluated by eminent personalities and experts from the fields of Indian classical music, dance, and performing arts, ensuring a high standard of artistic excellence and authenticity.

🌍 GLOBAL PARTICIPATION

From its inception, Bharat Sanskriti Utsab has attracted participants from across India. In recent years, it has expanded into a truly international cultural platform, with artists and competitors joining from around the globe. Each edition witnesses a growing number of performers, making it one of the most vibrant and inclusive cultural competitions in the field of Indian performing arts

💻 MODERN FORMAT (FROM 2020 ONWARDS)

Since 2020, the competition has adopted a hybrid format, combining both:
• 🎭 Physical Mode Performances
• 🌐 Virtual Online Participation
This modern approach has made the festival more accessible, allowing participants from different countries to showcase their talent without geographical limitations.

🎯 PURPOSE OF THE COMPETITION

The primary objective of the competition is to:
• Discover and nurture emerging talent in Indian classical and folk arts
• Provide a national and international platform for performers
• Preserve and promote India’s rich cultural heritage
• Encourage artistic excellence among young and emerging artists
This modern approach has made the festival more accessible, allowing participants from different countries to showcase their talent without geographical limitations.

    Mode of the Competition for the year 2025


From the year 2020, we have been inviting applicants to compete in both Virtual & Physical Mode. In the year, we are arranging the competition as per the sector taking place. We will be having two modes :

On Statge Performance(Physical Mode)
18th to 23rd December 2025
– at Town Hall Maidan, Sanskriti Lokomancha & Municipal Boys Auditorium, Burdwan, Purba Barddhaman, West Bengal.
Virtual Mode
13th & 15th December 2025
– in our YouTube & Facebook Official Page
On-Stage Performance (Physical Mode)
26th to 31st December 2025
– at Calcutta Blind School Ground & Auditorium and Sarat Sadan Auditorium, Behala, Kolkata, West Bengal, India.
