Bharat Sanskriti Utsab is a prestigious festival and talent search competition dedicated to the promotion of Indian art, culture, classical music, and folk traditions. Initiated in 2009 in Burdwan, West Bengal, the festival has grown into one of the most respected cultural platforms in the region. It is organized annually in the month of December by the Hindusthan Art & Music Society. The competition is evaluated by eminent personalities and experts from the fields of Indian classical music, dance, and performing arts, ensuring a high standard of artistic excellence and authenticity.
From its inception, Bharat Sanskriti Utsab has attracted participants from across India. In recent years, it has expanded into a truly international cultural platform, with artists and competitors joining from around the globe. Each edition witnesses a growing number of performers, making it one of the most vibrant and inclusive cultural competitions in the field of Indian performing arts
Since 2020, the competition has adopted a hybrid format, combining both:
• 🎭 Physical Mode Performances
• 🌐 Virtual Online Participation
This modern approach has made the festival more accessible, allowing participants from different countries to showcase their talent without geographical limitations.
The primary objective of the competition is to:
• Discover and nurture emerging talent in Indian classical and folk arts
• Provide a national and international platform for performers
• Preserve and promote India’s rich cultural heritage
• Encourage artistic excellence among young and emerging artists
