Bharat Sanskriti Utsab is a festival and a talent search program in the field of Indian art and culture, Indian classical music and folk song. It was started in 2009, in Burdwan Town, West Bengal. This festival is organized by Hindusthan Art & Music Society every year in the month of December. The Competition is being judged by eminent personalities from the field of art and music. From 2020 onwards, we are organizing this grand Competition in a different manner. We are inviting applicants to compete in both virtual & physical mode. Applicants from round the globe participate in this Competition in a huge scale every year.

From the year 2020, we have been inviting applicants to compete in both Virtual & Physical Mode. In the year 2024, we are arranging the competition as per the sector taking place. We will be having two modes:

AGE CATEGORY FOR SOLO/DUET

► Balkrishna (Upto 11 Years)
► Abhimanyu (Upto 17 Years)
► Chitrangada (above 17 Years)

AGE CATEGORY FOR GROUP

► Gopikas (Upto 14 Years)
► Gandharva (above 14 Years)

TIME LIMIT FOR SOLO/DUET

► Balkrishna (Classical 5 min | Others 3 min)
► Abhimanyu (Classical 6 min | Others 4 min)
► Chitrangada (Classical 7 min | Others 4 min)

TIME LIMIT FOR GROUP

► Gopikas (Classical 7 min | Others 5 min)
► Gandharva (Classical 8 min | Others 5 min)

★ Vocal & Instruments -Time for stage / Instruments setting including tunings maximum minutes (classical): 2minutes (non-classical)
    & Maximum number of accompanists is 2.

★ Sufficient thought and care must be exercised in the choice of Raga and composition. Participants must bring their own instruments

★ Normal Harmonium & Tabla are available on stage

★ Only non-film songs / geet / gazal can be presented for light music

★ Judgement will be based on the qualities like taal, selection of raga, composition and general impression

★ In case of Group Application, minimum 4 & maximum 12 participants must be present and the maximum age of any one participant
    will determine the age category of the total group application.

♬ The candidate has to choose “On-stage Performance Mode” before applying for a specific subject & category.

♬ The Decision of the judges will remain final. Any type of dispute will be settled under Kolkata Jurisdiction only.

♬ The participants / team will abide by the rules & regulations of Bharat Sanskrit Utsab & they have to maintain
    the decorum & the discipline strictly.

♬ Participants/ team can fill up the application form online at www.bharatsanskritiutsab.com. For the candidates apart
    from West Bengal (Rest of India) & want to avail free accommodation & Food facility from our organization, will
    have to pay @ Rs. 3000/- (Three Thousand) (Refundable) as a security Deposit within 30th October 2024 with
    their Team Details & KYC of all the members.

♬ We will provide free lodging for every team for maximum 05 days. A separate room (along with a basket, Mug & Mattress)
    for each team at free of cost will be provided. You can bring your own bedding otherwise it will be provided from
    our Decorator / Tent @ Rs. 100 for Purba Barddhaman & @ Rs. 125 for Kolkata per head / Per Day.

♬ We will provide free lodging & food for the candidates apart from West Bengal on the day of Performance.

♬ We request all the teams to bring their institution’s banner (6ft x 3ft) for participating in our cultural rally.

♬ The Host deserves the right to accept or reject any entry at any time without assigning any reason.

♬ The candidates have to choose the “Virtual Mode” before applying for a specific subject & category.

♬ The candidate will have to capture a fresh video in a landscape mode & submit the same to the organization.

♬ The video should not contain any sort of edits, banner (in background) otherwise may lead to disqualification.

♬In case of Fine Arts, the video needs to captured for first 30secs & last 30secs of the painting being drawn by the
    candidate & attach a JPEG/PDF of the drawing sheet at the time of submission.
